While looking a free pattern on Moda's web page...I saw this picture of the wooden spools. I can truthfully say, " I remember when wooden spools were the only type available". They were better than the plastic.
I remember them too, and have a few from my Mom's stash that I keep just because. And, yes, they were better. When I was a kid, before Peebles were invented, I played with spools as if they were little people. Maybe kids still do that?

ReplyDeleteI completely agree!!! Except when I would get a sliver from one of the cheaper ones.
