Just a few minutes ago, I heard the Fedex truck outside....there sat a box on the doorsteps.
Above is what I found...The bundle of laminated fabrics (FreeSpirit/Westminister Fibers) and the
book Lunch Bags. I won the Stashbooks blog giveaway earlier this month. I've been wanting
to use some of the laminated fabrics and now I'm set to go!!  Just got to finish that Boy Scout quilt.

Latest project

I finally got started on a small small Boy Scout quilt that
I want to have finished for my church's Harvest Sale.  I
found the fabric a while back but there is not a pattern from the
company that made the fabric to use with the panel. I have EQ7
so I came up with one a pattern I like. The rectangles in the panel
are 7.5 "x11'', so that was a challenge. I am ready to start adding
borders...then I'll know what the finished size will be.
I wish the picture was a little brighter.  I
like the way it looks, so far. More later
as the borders go on.

Natural beauty

I don't know how it can be so HOT and we
still have beautiful flowers. Aren't these
gorgeous? They must be related to Hydrangea.

Latest project

This is a wallhanging for my church's Harvest Sale in September.
It was a kit, now I have to select the backing and get it
quilted. I was pleased with the result. I think it has a " cottage look".

I won!!

I won a Moda Charm pack (Blush) from 44th Street Fabrics blog ( http://44thstreetfabric.blogspot.com/).
I am thinking of a purse or tote bag using it.

Projects

This is what I have been working on the past 2-3 days. They are totes to carry cutting mats, rulers & rotary cutters to class . The top one is for a friend. The bottom one is for me. On mine I put the pocket across the bottom for the rulers. The bottom picture shows it opens on the left side. The top pocket is for rotary cutters, etc. On the backside is another pocket for 6" square rulers or whatever. On the inside of both is a zippered pocket for change, key, etc. I made the straps long enough to go over my shoulder as I usually have both hands full!! On thebottom one, the pockets are black with the flap being green.
