Have you ever started over????
The green and red sashing is what I started with...I thought the green was the same color as in the leaves. It looked perfect in the store. I got the top half made and just hated looking at it. Soooo, I took the fabric and went to the LQS and found the purple and yellow. ( The yellow is tone on tone and not a solid.) It really is purple although in the photo it doesn't look it. It matches the purple flowers perfectly...so now I am at the point I was before changing my mind. Have you ever had to start over???

I like the purple and yellow a lot better. The flowers seem to really shine with those colors. If starting over helps, sometimes it just has to be done.
ReplyDeleteYes I have---in fact, I took a whole embroidered quilt top apart as I hated the way I had initially sashed it. (Landscape instead of portrait.)
ReplyDeleteI like the purple and yellow but then I am a purple nut. Why don't you just look at it for a bit and see what you think from afar---live with it a bit?
The second choice is much better. I usually don't start over. I put it in the UFO box and never look at it again! Somehow I wind up going on to a new project.
ReplyDeleteI do like the second one much better....
ReplyDeleteYes I have had to start over. It is frustrating. It lloks a lot better with the yellow and purple! Good luck.
ReplyDeleteAh yes - I've definitely had to start over! But, it's much better than having a quilt you hate! I think the new version looks wonderful!
